CELLULITE SOLUTION
by Diane Casas
Even with the strictest diet and the most advanced techniques, it is difficult to erase all signs of cellulite. Here are some good options and advice that may help.
Achieve a normal body mass index (BMI), preferably below 25. Calculate your BMI at http://www.healthatoz.com/.
Work out on a regular basis. The fat layers and fat cell compounds are reduced because you need more energy to supply your growing muscle cells. Less weight in these fat cell compounds mean less pulling on connective tissue, which equals less cellulite.
Use a firming body cream. Reduction creams contain ingredients to improve the overall look of the skin and help to reduce swelling and inflammation. Certain peptides strengthen collagen synthesis, which leads to an increased support of fat cell compounds; tannic acid reduces water retention; and fibronectin helps increase elasticity in the skin. Firming products will not completely erase all signs of cellulite, but in conjunction with other measurements, they can increase your success.
Kniepp Therapy. In the shower, turn on the cold water for 10 minutes, then warm 10 minutes, then cold again 10 minutes. This method was developed over 100 years ago and has been proven to improve cellulite by circulating changes in the tissue, lymphatic system, and blood vessels.
Get a deep tissue or Thai yoga massage. These treatments increase collagen production within the skin, which can help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
If after trying the above treatments you’re still not seeing the results you want, you may consider:
Mesotherapy- non surgical cosmetic treatment, which requires injection into the subcutaneous layer of the skin to break down fat. The injections are purported to target adipose fat cells by inducing rupture.
Liposuction- in cases of localized areas of cellulite, liposuction might be a good option to improve the silhouette of specific parts of the body.
